Founded by Albert Benjamin Simpson over 120 years ago, the heart of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination, of which York Alliance Church is a part, is represented by the Fourfold Gospel which focuses on Jesus as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King.  What motivates the Alliance is Jesus’ call to complete the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  (Matthew 28:19-20)

As an alliance of Christians committed to seeing the Great Commission completed, the C&MA consists of over 2000 churches throughout the United States and Canada and of over 900 overseas workers serving in 81 countries.  The Christian and Missionary Alliance believes that the local church is God’s instrument to fulfill the Great Commission.  It works to establish healthy communities of Christ, both domestically and internationally, that multiply themselves into self-sustaining, self-governing, self-propogating evangelical churches within reach of very person on the earth.
